Wells Fargo - Title Sponsor
Working with Women2Women and the Greater Reading Chamber is a privilege for Wells Fargo as we share many of the same goals—work to help develop and connect female leaders from diverse backgrounds to learn, share ideas, mentor and grow. Our involvement with Women2Women goes back many years, and in that time we have seen women take on greater leadership roles within our company—including three who sit on our board of directors—with women also rising in the ranks of our business customers.
At Wells Fargo, we are proud of our commitment to women as employees, stakeholders, and as customers. Our Women’s Connection employee resource network is the largest of our 11 corporate-wide ERN groups and includes a chapter right here in Pennsylvania. The mission of the Women’s Connection is to connect and empower their members. The group develops diverse, customer-focused leaders while driving business objectives and is accomplished through education, encouragement, and influence.
We are also proud of our efforts to help underserved small businesses, including women-owned businesses, to both stay open and preserve jobs. We have accomplished this through short and long-term COVID-19 resiliency efforts, support to businesses impacted by civil unrest that took place last summer, and expanded activities and programming for diverse business owners. Included in these efforts are our Open For Business grants, a roughly $420 million small business recovery effort that has already distributed more than $10 million to Pennsylvania-based CDFIs in 2021.
Whether it’s our efforts around diversity, equity and inclusion, financial education, or support of nonprofits that focus on women, we are working to reach one simple goal—to help women employees and women-owned business customers succeed—and that is a goal we will continue to share for decades to come.

“Partnering with Women2Women has been valuable not only for the students benefiting from a 20% tuition discount on their classes here at Alvernia University, but also for the school, and for me!
